Wiccan Recipes

Purification broom:

• 1 fallen tree branch- approx. ¼ inch in diameter and 1 foot long fresh bunches of any of  the following plants:  need to be fresh broom, cedar, fennel, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, pepper tree, raffia, scissors, a bowl of water

• Step #1 collect materials.

• Step #2 find a fallen branch

• Step #3 assemble tools.  Charge the plant materials with purifying energy

• Step #4 charge the broomstick (branch)

• Step #5 tie one end of a long piece of raffia around the bottom of the broomstick.  Say:  I tie in purification.

• Step #6 take 4 or 5 stalks of plant material, place them stem against the end of the broomstick.  Tie the ribbon around the material and the broomstick.

• Step #7 Repeat above stem and once more if necessary

• Step #8 push loose end of ribbon under the plant material

• Step #9 place protective hand over the bowl of water and say:

  • Water of water, Wash it clean, Both that which is seen, And unseen

• Step #10 sprinkle water on the broomstick.  Walk to the front door and sweep all negativity out.  Move clockwise through the house and open all windows and doors and sweep out negativity.  Finish with the front door again.  Raise broom and vigorously shake it three times and lay it before the front door for nine minutes. 

• Step #11 untie the ribbon, take apart the broom and bury the plant materials, ribbon and stick outside.

• House protection spell bottle:

  • Glass jar with cork or lid, ½ to 1 cup of salt, 3 cloves garlic, 9 bay leaves, 7 tablespoons dried basil, 4 tablespoons dill seeds, 1 tablespoons anise, 1 tablespoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon fennel, bowl

  • Assemble all items.  Place salt in the bowl and say:

    • Salt that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Crumble the bay leaves and place in the bowl and say:

    • Bay that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Add basil and say:

    • Basil that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Add dill and say:

    • Dill that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Add sage and say:

    • sage that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Add anise and say:

    • Anise that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Add pepper and say:

    • Pepper that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Add fennel and say:

    • fennel that protects, protect my home and all within it.

  • Mix herbs together and stir with hands.  Energize protection, envision safety, guarding, and security.  

  • Pour mixture into the jar, seal and say:

    • Salt and herbs, nine time nine, guard now this home of mine.  It is done!

• Money Spell Bottle

  • five old pennies, five dimes, five quarters, five nickels, five kernels of dried corn, five teaspoons wheat flour, five sesame seeds, 5 cinnamon sticks, 5 cloves, 5 whole allspice, 5 pecans

  • Put items in a bottle, shake and say:

    • Herbs and silver, Copper and grain, Work to increase, My money gain

• Love Spell Bottle

  • Rose water, Handful of dried rose petals, 2 pinches of lavender

  • hold rose petals between palms and empower them with love.  Place in the bottle.  Do the same with the lavender.  Fill the bottle with rose water, cap.  Hold bottle between palms and then place on chest say:

    • flowers drenched in love, drench me with love.  Keep the love spell bottle in your bedroom
